Digest Set Up Digital Signage with a Tablet
To use a tablet as digital signage, you need to install an app with dedicated signage functions. The Handbook X App offers a simple Two-step process to set up signage, make it a great choice for those who want an easy solution.
2 easy steps! How to set up signage
Function used: “Auto Play”
Function description: Shows photos and videos as a slide show. Loop playback is also possible.
*Autoplay is available for personal plans and workgroup plans.
Step1: Create a new book and register images and videos in the order they are played
The Handbook X's autoplay function supports playback of photos, videos, and YouTube.
Step2: Open the autoplay settings screen and start playback
Select the content you want to display, set the display time and loop playback, and start.
After that, place the tablet in an appropriate place, such as the entrance or counter of the store, and the signage is complete.

If connected to a large display, it can also be used as a full-scale digital signage.

Enables user-selectable interactive signage
One advantage of using a tablet for signage is that a touch panel can be used. In other words, it can also be used as interactive signage where users select and browse materials they want to view!
Handbook X also has a function that enables interactive signage, so it is a recommended application for those who want to use more advanced signage.
More convenient! Show map view on Handbook X
Functions used: “map view”
Function description: This function allows content to be placed at any position on the background image. By tapping the arranged content, you can check the contents of the content, and it can be used as interactive signage.
*The map view can be used with personal plans and workgroup plans.
After creating a new book and registering the content you want to display, open the map view settings screen from Edit Book > Map View.
Step1: Set a background image
For example, when guiding a floor, set a floor map, and when guiding exhibitors at an exhibition, set a background image that matches the content you want to show, such as a venue map or exhibitor list image.
Step2: Set an unlock code
Since an unspecified number of users operate the screen in interactive signage, it is possible to set an unlock code so that the map view is not canceled without permission.
Step3: Arrange content where you want
You can view the content by clicking within the arranged frame. After making adjustments while checking the position in the preview, the settings are complete.

You can start a map view and use it as interactive signage.

summary
I introduced signage using tablets. In addition to displaying images and videos in slideshows, the implementation of interactive signage where customers can operate and select the content they want to watch can also be easily realized using the Handbook X app.
Please use it at stores, exhibitions, etc.!
